2025-2026 MEET THE CANDIDATES

The election is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, during the Annual Business Meeting at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. Absentee ballots for members who will be unable to attend the Business Meeting are available upon request.

Anita Goodrum, Eupora

Anita Goodrum earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Mississippi State University in 1995. She joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford, PLLC in 1995 and was admitted to the partnership in 2008. Anita is based out of WWS Eupora office; various roles within WWS include Eupora Office Manager, Chair of Technology Committee, Vice Chair of the Quality Control Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee. She is a member of the AICPA, as well as the Healthcare Financial Management Association. With more than 30 years of experience, Anita’s practice is concentrated in health care, governmental and non-profit audits, small business, tax, and technology. Anita has served on the MSCPA Public Service Award Committee, is a current member of the Health Care Services Committee, and has presented at past MSCPA Health Care Services Conferences. She also served as Treasurer of the Society from 2022-2023. Her community involvement includes being an active member and past Treasurer of GFWC/MFWC Eupora New Century Club, volunteer of the Eupora Main Street Association, and various other local organizations. Anita is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Eupora where she serves on the Finance Committee and former Chairman. Anita is married to Brent Goodrum and resides in Eupora. They have one daughter, Madison.

Kimberly Williams, Ridgeland

Kimberly Williams is the Chief Financial Officer for Medical Management Services. In her position, she oversees the accounting for MEA Medical Clinics as well as other medical practices. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University and MBA from Mississippi College. Kimberly has been active in the MSCPA since she received her CPA license in 2013. She previously served as the Vice-President/Events Chair and was then elevated to Young CPA Network President. Under her leadership the Young CPA Network received the Mississippi Food Network’s Volunteer of the Year Award for statewide participation in the MSCPA Annual Day of Service. Upon completion of her year as Young CPA Network President, Kimberly served on the Board of Governors for the MSCPA as the Young CPA Network representative, joined the Young CPA Liaison Committee, and began serving as the chair of the Industry Committee for several years. She was also elected Treasurer of the MSCPA and served on the Executive Committee. Kimberly will chair the Health Care Services Committee in the upcoming year. She enjoys speaking to students on behalf of the MSCPA to promote leadership skills, the accounting profession, and the CPA designation. In 2018, Kimberly received the MSCPA’s Rising Star Award. Kimberly previously served on the Board of Ellipsis International, which is a non-profit organization. She also serves on the Board of the Mississippi Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association as the Past-President. She and her husband Drew chair the Mississippi Chapter of Medals for Mettle. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys volunteering at local organizations and supporting charities through 5k participation. Kimberly serves in the Preschool Ministry at the Madison Campus of Pinelake Church. Kimberly and her husband Drew have two children, Emmy Grace and Whitt, and live in Madison.

Rob King, Hattiesburg

Rob King is a partner at EisnerAmper, formerly known as Postlethwaite & Netterville, and prior to that, The Koerber Company. He has over 16 years’ experience working with attorneys, CPAs, other financial professionals, and their clients in Mississippi and surrounding states. Rob’s practice is focused on business valuations for transactions, compliance purposes, and disputes. He has presented locally and nationally on these topics to CPAs, judges, and attorneys, and he has co-authored chapters on economic damage calculations. Rob graduated from Ole Miss in 2008 and has been involved with the AICPA and CPA state societies for Mississippi and Louisiana since passing the CPA exam in 2010. Afterwards, he completed the AICPA’s requirements to be classified as Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). Currently, Rob serves on the MSCPA Public Service Committee and is the chair of the Business Valuation & Litigation Support Committee, including being the immediate past chair of the Louisiana Society of CPAs’ Forensic & Valuation Services Committee. Past service areas include the Young CPA Board of Directors and the Young CPA Network Conference Committee. In 2016, Rob was voted the MSCPA’s Rising Star. Nationally, he serves on the Forensic & Valuation Services section of the AICPA as the ABV Champion for Mississippi. In 2016, Rob received the Standing Ovation Award from the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Service Division for exemplary professional achievement in forensic and valuation services, and he was awarded as a Top 40 Forensic and Valuation Professional by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. Rob and his wife Julianne reside in Hattiesburg and have three children, Robert, Anne Bennett, and Virginia.

Shannon Adams, Ridgeland

Shannon Adams is a Director at Matthews, Cutrer & Lindsay, P.A. Shannon has extensive experience in auditing governmental and non-profit organizations, including foundations, health and welfare organizations, trade associations, religious organizations, Rural Development and HUD family housing projects, and various governmental entities. She also specializes in small business consulting and taxation for non-profits. She earned a BBA in Accounting from Delta State University. Shannon has received several awards, including Top 40 Under 40, Leader in Finance, and was the MSCPA Rising Star in 2021. She has chaired our Accounting and Auditing Committee for several years and has served in various leadership roles within the MSCPA, including President of the Young CPA Network, YCPA representative on the Board of Governors, and a member of the Young CPA Liaison Committee. Shannon’s leadership was instrumental in increasing participation in the MSCPA Annual Day of Service. Selected as the MSCPA’s participant, she graduated from the Alabama Leadership Academy, which was a year-long commitment, and brought back inspiration to her firm by forming a committee to show employees they are valued both personally and professionally. Shannon also serves as the Treasurer of CASA Mississippi, Inc. and is a member of the Go Giver’s BNI group in Flowood. She lives in Brandon with her husband Daniel and their three daughters, Addyson, Camille, and Quinn.

Stacy Thomas, Jackson

Stacy Thomas is a shareholder in the Jackson office of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC. where he focuses on federal and state tax issues, tax disputes, and business and estate planning. Stacy is a graduate of Mississippi State University and has served as President of the alumni Advisory Council for the Adkerson School of Accountancy. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in tax law from New York University. Stacy has served the Society in many capacities over the years, including President (Now Chairman), Treasurer, member of the Board of Governors, member of the Executive Committee, and an active member of the Taxation Committee. He recently completed a third term as Trustee of the MSCPA Education Foundation. Stacy and his wife Ginger live in Madison, Mississippi and have two sons, Will and Wes.

Samantha Moore, Ridgeland

Samantha Moore is an attorney at Butler Snow LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Tax Group and focuses her practice on estate and trust planning, international tax and trust planning, estate administration, and taxation law. She is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Samantha received her Bachelor of Accountancy, summa cum laude, her Master of Taxation, and her J.D., magma cum laude, all from the University of Mississippi. She received her LLM from New York University and obtained her CPA license in 2011. Samantha is a dedicated MSCPA member. She has served the Central Chapter as Secretary (double term), Vice-President of Programs, and President. She served on the Board of Governors, Executive Committee, and as our elected Secretary. She is also a member of the Taxation Committee and has served as Millennial Chair and as Co-Chair. Samantha also serves on the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Mississippi and the Executive Committee of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Mississippi Bar Association where she has completed terms as President for both. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Children’s Hospital and is a Board Member of the St. Dominic Health Services Foundation. Samantha is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been recognized by Chambers High Net Worth for her work in Private Wealth Law in Mississippi from 2021-2024. She has also been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Rising Star in the area of Estate Planning and Probate and Best Lawyers in America® for her work in Tax Law and Trusts and Estates. She attends Grace Chapel in Madison, where she lives with her husband, Easlin, and their son, Watson.
