CPA Exam Medal Winners
Fred T. Neely GOLD MEDAL
Mary Elizabeth Greer was born in Tupelo, MS, but her hometown is Etta, MS. Mary earned both her Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy and Data Analytics from the University of Mississippi. She also completed a Manufacturing Minor through the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence, where she developed valuable hands‑on experience and strengthened her interest in collaborative, process‑focused problem‑solving. Mary has been employed with GranthmanPoole in Oxford, MS since 2025 as a staff auditor. She is already becoming active in the profession, participating in MSCPA’s Days of Service initiative with the Northwest Chapter and joining the AICPA. During her time at Ole Miss, she was a member of Beta Alpha Psi and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She is a dedicated member and volunteer of Macedonia Baptist Church, where her faith and community play an important role in her life. Mary resides in New Albany, MS and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is a legacy CPA as her mother, Amy Greer, works at Franks, Franks, Wilemon & Hagood, P.A. in Tupelo.
T.E. LOTT Silver Medal
DeYampert Brame Garner II was born in Oxford, MS and grew up in Batesville, MS. Brame holds both a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy and Data Analytics from the University of Mississippi. He is currently working as a Senior Tax Consultant in Deloitte’s Core Tax Services in Houston, TX with a focus on Private Equity & Real Estate. While in college, Brame owned and operated a food delivery service called Fetcht Delivery that had over 70 contractors at its largest capacity and served Oxford and surrounding counties. This business especially helped local businesses who faced adversity due to the pandemic and also gave him the opportunity to put into practice all the things he was learning in school. He later successfully sold the business. He was a Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College graduate. His interests include basketball, movies, and piano. Brame and his wife, Jordan, recently welcomed their first child, Libby, in March.
SILAS M. SIMMONS Bronze Medal
Rachel Kaiser was born in Jackson, MS and grew up in Madison, MS. Rachel holds both a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Health Sciences and a Master of Accountancy and Data Analytics from the University of Mississippi. She is currently working as an Audit Associate for Forvis Mazars in Jackson, MS and has become involved in the MSCPA Young CPA Network. She was member of Kappa Delta Sorority at Ole Miss. Rachel is interested in the health and wellness sector and would love to open her own fitness studio. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, shopping, Pilates, and being outside.
