MSCPA DAYS OF SERVICE HELPS MISSISSIPPIANS IN NEED

MSCPA volunteers united for the Mississippi Society of CPAs statewide annual CPA Days of Service on November 3-14, teaming up around the state to lend a helping hand. This was the 11th year that MSCPA implemented the Days of Service for members and accounting students. Our volunteers completed service projects in 14 Mississippi towns and served 19 organizations across the state bringing together these 33 companies:

This year we hosted our fourth annual display contest for each company’s food drive donations. We loved seeing everyone’s creativity and fun they had while collecting. Congratulations to Matthews, Cutrer & Lindsay, P.A. for being the winner for the Best Movie Display with Wicked and Oz, BMSS Advisors and CPAs for collecting the most donations and food items and Honorable Mention Display with Disney’s UP, and McArthur Slay & Dews, PLLC in Hattiesburg for winning Small Firm Best Display with The Wizard of Oz. GranthmanPoole was recognized for EXCELling Above and Beyond for having the most members volunteering at venues and Carr Riggs and Ingram for EXCELing Above and Beyond PLUS for overall outstanding service! Together all Metro Jackson businesses that participated collected 9,984 pounds and $1,000 (BMSS) for the MS Food Network to provide 8,320 meals for Mississippians.
