Billy Morehead, PHD, CGFM, CPA was awarded the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Lifetime Achievement Award. This inaugural award was given as part of the 75th anniversary of AGA and the #Fraud75 Conference in Washington, DC in September.

Worth noting, Billy is the first and only recipient representing state and local governments and universities. He has shaped the future of government financial management as an educator, mentor, and thought leader. A strong advocate for professional certification, he advanced the CGFM and inspired students and practitioners alike. Through his teaching, research, and service to AGA, Billy has elevated standards of accountability, transparency, and excellence across the profession. He also serves as Chairman of the MSCPA Govermental Accounting and Auditing Committee. Congratulations Billy!
