New licensees were front and center at the New CPA Induction Ceremony held at Two Mississippi Museums on Saturday, May 17. Together with the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy, the ceremony included a breakfast for the inductees and their families and professional photo opportunities. State Board Chairman Gary Walker presided and administered the Oath of Title. MSCPA Chairman Tom Walker spoke on behalf of the MSCPA, and the Young CPA Network President Andres Posada encouraged the new CPAs to get involved. The event was highlighted by an inspirational keynote address by Former Supreme Court Justice Randy Pierce.

New CPAs recognized were: Brandon T. Alldread, Hayden Michael Anthony, David Wallace Brittingham, Caleb Thomas Calhoun, River Cade Howell, Jacob Roger Lusby, Brock David Martin, Tove Leanne Mullins, Pollyanna Patterson, Orlando Takeem Posey, Kayla N. Rainey, Timothy Avery Ruth, Aubrey Nell Sanders, Thomas Lee Silas, Peyton Cole Sowers, and Alexa Marie Turner.
